Community Linking
"Connecting Caring Communities"Community linking projects provides a way for small groups of people or professional to work together on a project that will benefits the whole community. The possibilities are endless! There is a wide range of types of projects possible, from beautifying a park Painting a school to facilitating a clinic.
This is a specialized program meant to work with groups of 6 or more. The time duration usually is one week but we are flexible. Projects in this program can be tailored to a group or organizations special needs and we will be glad to work with you.
This is an opportunity for groups or professionals to:
- Enhance their holiday - by serving in our community, developing cultural awareness and reflecting on lifestyle comparisons.
- Build on this experience - to establish longer-term links between our community and theirs through the people they meet here.
- Contribute financially to Cornerstone's efforts - helping to sustain the organization and providing for activity costs. The program contribution is $199 US per person per week.
Cornerstone Foundation provides:
- Transport - to and from project sites.
- Project coordination - communicating, organizing, purchasing, etc.
- Activity supplies and equipment - Example: If the project is to beautify a park the supplies might include plants, mulch, shovels, water, paints, brushes, and more. Activity supplies and equipment is allocated at one half total contribution.
